Chris
is a Managing Director with Savoy Partners and
draws on his thirty years of experience in corporate
management, venture funding and executive recruiting
to meet the needs of Savoy’s clients. His search
practice focuses on senior level positions for
technology-based companies and private equity
professionals for the venture finance and portfolio
management sectors. Having been a chief executive
officer, a chief financial officer, as well
as a private equity general partner, Chris has
a breadth of business knowledge that enables
him to bring added value to clients.
Prior
to joining Savoy Partners, Chris spent six years
as a Senior Partner with two leading executive
search firms. In one role, he led the firm’s
global private equity and venture capital practice
while personally executing senior searches in
technology, venture capital, bioscience, and
telecommunication sectors in U.S., Europe and
Asia markets. More recently, Chris focused on
the professional services, Homeland Defense
and Federal sectors, executing senior marketing
and other leadership search assignments for
leading services and product providers. Chris
drew upon his early experience in national security
matters to personally lead the U.S. Department
of Transportation’s recruitment of over 80 highly
specialized and scarce Senior Executive Service
security, intelligence, and enforcement executives
to meet the post September 11 airport security
mandate.
Formerly,
he was the Chief Executive Officer of a leading
U.S. wireless telecommunications company. He
led that corporation through its initial public
offering and multiple financings, including
private and public equity and high-yield debt
transactions. Following his success as a public
company founder and CEO, Chris started up and
operated the Bretton Woods Group, LLC, a private
investment bank serving the emerging markets
of the Central European States. Living in Prague
and Warsaw, Chris provided financial advisory,
capital formation and transaction services to
the emerging wireless and data business sectors
in Poland, Czech Republic, Russia and Hungary.
Earlier,
Chris was a senior corporate strategist and
operations specialist with the international
management consulting firm Booz, Allen &
Hamilton, Inc. Prior to his corporate experience,
he served as a platoon leader, squad leader
and fire team specialist in the United States
Marine Corps.
Chris
graduated from the United States Naval Academy,
where he received a BS degree in electrical
and marine engineering with a second concentration
in international security affairs.
